Who We Are
Keturah Edmond
Director of Administration and Logistics
Keturah Edmond has dedicated the past 10 years to the field of Early Childhood Education. With a degree in Early Childhood Education, she is passionate about fostering the growth and development of children while empowering educators to confidently educate, nurture, and inspire the little ones entrusted to their care.
Keturah is the proud mother of one lovely daughter, who is one of her greatest joys. Outside of her professional and ministry work, she enjoys traveling the world, spending quality time with her daughter, and drinking a good iced coffee!
At the heart of Keturah’s life is her love for Jesus Christ. She has a passion for preaching the Gospel and currently serves in ministry at her church in Bremerton, Washington. Her faith influences the way she leads, serves, and connects with children, families, and educators.
At Little Steps Christian Childcare, Keturah’s desire is for every child, family, educator, and individual who walks through the doors to experience the love of Jesus while being part of a nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
Her mission is simple: love people, empower educators, nurture children, and share Jesus.
Rayven Hansen
Director of Development and Engagement
As the Director of Development and Engagement at Little Steps Christian Childcare, I have the joy of supporting our teachers, children, and families. I have worked in childcare for six years, am educated in child development, and am continuing my education in early childhood education.
What I love most about Little Steps is the opportunity to make an impact on children during some of the most important years of their lives. I especially love teaching children about God’s love and watching their faith grow through simple moments—praying together, learning Bible stories, serving others, and discovering that Jesus loves them deeply. It is a privilege to be part of providing a safe, loving, and supportive learning experience where children can grow in their faith and everything we do points back to the glory of God.
Little Steps is especially meaningful to me because my son attends the center as well. Being both a staff member and a parent has given me an even greater appreciation for the loving community we have here. I am grateful that my son gets to grow and learn in the same Christ-centered environment I am passionate about creating for other children and families.
Outside of Little Steps, I love spending time with my family, especially camping, boating, and enjoying time at the beach. I love being outdoors, making memories, and going on little adventures together. My family and I attend church in Tacoma, and when we are out enjoying our adventures, we love being able to join church online and continue worshiping wherever we are.
I feel incredibly blessed to serve children and families at Little Steps and to have the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with them each day.
